He left her heart shattered in the snow. He causally walked back into his brownstone. She stood there gazing where he once stood. She was like stone. She felt like it was a dream, but her half frozen feet in her fancy shoes reminded her it was not. She was with him three years. She sold her home to move in with him and now no boyfriend, no home, and she quit her job to take care of their home, so no job either. She was snapped out of it by an old man walking by. He said, “Life is like a rolling stone, you keep moving you wont accumulate no moss. Now I do not know you, but can I give you some advice?” She nodded yes. He continued, “Be your own damn hero and save yourself!” And with that he walked away. She stood a few more minutes, moved finally, and decided no man would ever be in charge of her life again. She was now her own hero and would take control over her life, dreams, and future!

For him and I were now to be married and we took a ride on the horses to celebrate our new union as an engaged couple.
